Vintage Black Glass Beads

These gorgeous beads have two beautiful pink and white flowers inside them. Each bead was handmade by a bead artist. Vintage Czech

These are extra large lamp work beads that have a black glass base wrapped in shimmering gold. These tube shaped beads are lamp work, made by hand. The centers are bumpy and give the illusion of gold nuggets. Very unusual beads. See View A, B. Limited Quantity. Vintage Venetian

Antique Venetian round black beads with a prominent ruffled white belt. Traded to the Igbo of Nigeria. They are 8-10mm in diameter with large 3-4mm holes. You see they are irregular in shape and size since they were hand made in the late 19th to early 20th centuries in Venice. This type of bead is often called Dog Teeth or Dog Tooth beads. Beware of modern imitations with smaller more even ruffles and a clean look. These antique beads show some signs of wear and pitting, which adds to their beauty and story. See view A, B, C.

Wonderful old glass jet tear drop beads with an iris finish. The beads are a pear shaped piece with a slightly red underglow. They have a shiny silvery finish and a beautiful luster. See view A, B.

Nice faceted black crystal glass beads with a heliotrope finish. They are nice faceted with a beautiful finish that has purples, blues, and coppery colors.The have a silver bail at the top. Nice faceted jet black glass pendants that have a triangular bail at the top. They are faceted to a point on one side and more domed on the other. They have a shiny finish and beautiful luster. Mint Condition - German, See View A, B.

Brilliant Preciosa crystal pendants; these black crystals are beautiful machine cut pendants. They were made by the Czech company Preciosa, which is well known for its high quality crystal products. These are mint in the box - Vintage

These small black glass buttons are really special. They are shaped like small flowers and are very popular for embellishing and adding to doll's clothing. They still have the original tag that says "Made in Germany-U.S.-Zone" (1947). They come 100 to a strand or packages of 24 pieces.

Beautiful glass intaglios that are straight out the original old box. They have a lovely lady's profile, like a cameo, but are cut glass. There is wonderful frosted glass edging that is framing the face. The glass is a dark smoky color the box calls hematite. They have a polished top and a 3/4 faceted back. See a close up and the back. Rare strand of antique "Zen" Venetian glass trade beads. They are black and white lamp work beads called spiral Zen and sometimes Number 6 or Number 9 beads. The antique Zen beads were handmade in Venice using traditional bead making techniques, they are wound beads with glass trail decoration. This long strand of beads is on raffia and is 36 " long, the raffia broke and it needs to be restrung. The beads are from the mid to late 1800's originating from Venice, Italy and collected in Africa. Great condition with a few slight dings. See view A, B, C, D.

These are thick faceted black glass beads, in a shape and size sometimes called rondelles. They work nicely by themselves or in between other beads.

Rare strand of antique "Fancy" Venetian glass trade beads. There are two styles of the black and white beads with "Fried Egg" designs. The antique fancy beads were handmade in Venice using traditional bead making techniques, they are lamp work beads with glass trail decoration. This long strand of beads is on raffia and is 33 " long. It can easily slip over your head. It is from the mid to late 1800's originating from Venice, Italy and collected in Mali, Africa.
