Vintage Brooches & Pins

A beautiful copper brooch & earring set designed by The Bell Trading Post. The set has a modern feel with a floral motif. The brooch and matching earrings have a rich texture. The brooch measures 2 inches and the clip on earrings measure 1 inch. The earring clasps are screw backs that work well as does the clasp on the brooch. The brooch and earrings are both hallmarked on the back Copper and a Bell Logo. This is a rare Bell set and is in excellent condition.  See view A, B, C, D, E.

This is a gorgeous hand crafted sterling silver brooch with a large pear shaped chrysocolla cabochon. The veined chrysocolla gemstone is domed and is a beautiful teal color with excellent polish. It is a darker turquoise color with rich veining throughout. The sterling pin has an ornate twisted rope design on the setting. The pin was most likely made by a Navajo craftsman and is in excellent condition. This stone is known for its healing abilities among the Native American cultures and is found near Copper mines in Arizona. It is marked 925 on the back of the pin. It also has a large bail on the back so it can be used as a pendant. See View A, B, C, D.

This is a very collectible sterling brooch made by Coro. It is a beautiful bouquet of lilies all crafted in sterling silver and tied with a ribbon. Older sterling brooches by Coro are very desirable, especially ones from the 1940's. Signed Sterling & Coro in script - See View A, B, C, D. See the back and see the signature. Circa 1940's.

This is a fabulous hand crafted sterling silver brooch with a large rhodocrosite cabochon. The rhodochrosite is high quality with lovely horizontal banding and an excellent dark pink color. The pin has a scalloped design on the setting. The pin was most likely made by a Navajo craftsman and is in excellent condition. It is marked STERLING on the back of the pin and it has a circular logo with HB in it. It was double impressed and not real clear. See View A, B, C.

This brooch features a 3D flower with leaves and stamens as it is in full bloom. The design is layered, with a 3D shape, this piece is elegant and lovely. It was made in Taxco, Mexico, home of many famous silversmiths. It has a secure pin back. It is signed in a circle STERLING 925 TAXCO DD and an Eagle 3. ~ See other views A, B, C, See the back. This is a large and lovely, rich gold plated brooch & earring set designed by Hattie Carnegie. The set is wonderfully textured, with an organic design of flowing petals or leaves. The brooch measures 3 x 2 inches and the earrings measure 1 inch. The earring clasps are tight and work well as does the clasp on the brooch. The brooch is signed 'Hattie Carnegie' within a cartouche. The clip earrings are signed 'Carnegie' in Script.  This set is in excellent vintage condition. - See view A, B, C, D.

Fabulous 10kt gold estate floral brooch. It was designed by Carl Schraysshuen of Carl Art from Providence Rhode Island. It is a lovely two tone brooch in yellow and rose gold. It is a simple, yet elegant design in the Art Nouveau style. The brooch has a bright and shiny finish and is in excellent condition. It is a very well made, and weighs 10 grams. Brilliant vintage brooch in all shades of red and pink. There is a beautiful combination of marquis and round shaped crystals prong set in a gold tone circular frame. This is a handmade Mexican Pinwheel Brooch that is inlaid with abalone shell. The shell has fabulous silver, blue and green colors. The brooch has a pretty pinwheel shape. It's in excellent condition and also has a pendant bail. The back is stamped Made in Mexico Sterling CLD 925 and Eagle167. See the signature. See the back. Circa 1950's.

A really wonderful form shaped, one of a kind, brooch made out of Fossilized Walrus Ivory! It has a rich color palette of tans, yellows and creams in the two layers of the dentine of the tusk. The inner core of secondary dentine has central "crystalline" area. It is hard but looks like fine oatmeal or applesauce. It naturally has beautiful patterns. You can even carve it and add your own scrimshaw. It is legal to own and sell, it is collected and dug up in arctic regions. Both sides are polished. See view A, B ~See the back.

This pin has a scrimshaw picture on the front of a Eskimo ice fishing. It was very nicely carved and has a wonderful patina. It is signed on the back Nuguruk, it is probably from Alaska. It was carved on a Walrus Ivory Tooth. It is in excellent condition.~See the back.

Victorian Hand Carved Mother-of-Pearl Brooch. It has delicate and intricate open work carving. There is a large 3D flower on the front. It is a lovely creamy white color with a nice iridescence. Elegant Rhinestone Brooch made by Krementz. It is rhodium plated and all the rhinestones are prong set. Krementz was known for making high quality costume jewelry in the 30's-60's. Excellent condition, all the stones are bright white. Circa 1940's ~ Signed KREMENTZ on the pin. - See the Back

This brooch features faux turquoise cabochons and pear shaped rhinestones intermingled with faux pearls. It can be a brooch , but is also convertible to a pendant as it houses a bale on the underside of the piece. The pin can be seen in Ronna Lee Atkins book, "20th Century Costume Jewelry , 1900-1980: Identification and Value Guide" on page 116. It is signed ©SARAH COV. Rare vintage Celluloid Brooch designed by Effex. Striking Art Deco brooch in several colors of amber celluloid and stainless steel accents. It has an ivory colored bead dangling on the bottom. See View 1, 2, 3.

This magnificent crown brooch is set with 3 large glass cabochons, 2 emerald and one ruby red. A line of green baguettes frames the brow, with a row of blue rhinestones above it. Sparkling blue and white rhinestone accents are pave set on the remainder of the crown. The sterling is plated in gold. Marked STERLING CoroCraft (in script) with the flying Pegasus. This brooch was designed by Alfred Katz and patented in 1944, with design patent #139100. It appears in many jewelry books and is a very sought after piece. The safety clasp works well. Stunning designer brooch by Ciner. CINER Jewelry Company, was started in New York in 1892 by Emanuel Ciner, often designed its pieces to look like fine jewelry. The quality is first class and the look rich and well crafted. This cross has glass cabochons that look like real gemstones and are set in an antiqued gold brooch. It has a pin and a pendant hook or bail on the back, so it can hang on any necklace. It is signed Ciner© and is in excellent condition. ~ See another view.   See the back. See the signature.

Mexican silver brooch with a traditional tribal face mask carved in black onyx. It is in a pretty sterling silver frame with filigree bead work. The back is signed Sterling Mexico ~The style and absence of maker's initials suggest this is an early piece of Mexican silver - Circa 1920's See the back. See the signature.

This is a lovely and classic gold tone brooch in a free form shape. It has a beautiful combination of polished and brushed gold finish. This pin is in excellent condition. It is signed Trifari© on the back - see the back.

This large brooch is just stunning. It is covered in prong set fancy glass stones. The stones are so beautiful and colorful. Each one is slightly different and many of them are opal glass and have a nice sheen and glow. The pear shaped stones are two toned red and white with a foil backing. The brooch is very well constructed and has a closed gold tone back. The size of the brooch and rarity of the glass stones make this brooch an outstanding piece. This regal brooch has five large lapis lazuli glass cabochons set in a gold tone frame. It has a long beaded gold tassel dangling below it. It is really well made and has heavy gold plating. This is a large and colorful enamel floral brooch. It is really fun and playful and reminds me of the pop art from the 1960's. It has a large yellow center with yellow polka dots on blue petals. Robert is known for the quality enamel jewelry they made - and this is a good example. "Robert" used quality shiny metals for his enamel work. See the back.
