Can I buy beads and jewelry that are Genuine Elephant Ivory? Yes! These items were bought from antique dealers and collectors in the United States and come from supplies that were imported over 60 years ago. It is difficult to find these high quality ivory beads in excellent unused condition, most of these beads are available in limited numbers so get them while you can! Please note: US law does not allow us to ship ivory out of the country.
What is Fossilized Mammoth Ivory? Is it legal? Fossil ivory from walrus and mammoth is perfectly legal to buy, carve, sell, and wear! No modern mammals are harmed in the collection of this ivory. It is dug up, mined, and collected, not hunted. They are digging up Prehistoric Woolly Mammoth Fossils from under the ice and tundra in the Arctic Circle. They are salvaging the tusks, and using them for jewelry and decorative arts. We have some of these beads for sale. Natural earthy colors vary from creams to browns and sometimes there are splashes of blues and greens. It all depends upon the mineral absorption from where and how long the ivory was buried. They are legal to buy and sell, and considered more eco friendly by some. Mammoth ivory has been seen on fashionable runways and boutiques all over the world. They have a great look! Antique ivory beads that have back-to-back roses intricately hand carved on them. They are side-drilled so that the roses show up well when they are strung. They are very white and have a nice polish, they are excellent quality beads. Carved in Hong Kong in the 1960's. See another view.

This is a large elephant ivory heart pendant with a 14Kt yellow gold bail on the top. It was hand carved and is domed. This is new/old stock from a jewelry supply store. It has a beautiful polish and is perfectly smooth. Circa 1970's, Bail is 14K. See another view.

Beautiful elephant ivory beads carved into delicate pikake flower beads. The beads are 15 x 12mm and were hand carved in Hawaii. This ivory was imported before the ivory ban. They have stainless steel screwbacks that are hinged and work well. See view A, B, C, D. Circa 1950's

Dainty and beautifully carved daisy cabochon or flat back pendant. It has a painted yellow center. It is made for gluing on a brooch, pendant, pin or anything else you want to decorate. This necklace features a beautiful elephant ivory pendant intricately carved into delicate rose. The pendant is dangling from an 18 inch gold filled chain. Two wonderful and matching thin bangle bracelets. They are carved out of genuine elephant tusk ivory. The bracelets have an opening of 2.5 inches and are each 3mm wide. The ivory bracelets have been nicely polished and are in perfect condition. There are no cracks, staining or darkening of the ivory. Circa 1960. See View A, B, C.

A beautiful genuine elephant tusk ivory bangle bracelet. The bracelet has a opening of 2.5 inches and is 7mm wide. The ivory bracelet has been nicely polished and is in perfect condition. There are no cracks, staining or darkening of the ivory. It will look wonderful alone or stacked with other bangles. Circa 1960. See View A, B, C, D.

Size: 7mm wide- Inside Diameter 2 ½ inches

A really wonderful form shaped, one of a kind, brooch made out of Fossilized Walrus Ivory! It has a rich color palette of tans, yellows and creams in the two layers of the dentine of the tusk. The inner core of secondary dentine has central "crystalline" area. It is hard but looks like fine oatmeal or applesauce. It naturally has beautiful patterns. You can even carve it and add your own scrimshaw. It is legal to own and sell, it is collected and dug up in arctic regions. Both sides are polished. See view A, B ~See the back.

This pin has a scrimshaw picture on the front of a Eskimo ice fishing. It was very nicely carved and has a wonderful patina. It is signed on the back Nuguruk, it is probably from Alaska. It was carved on a Walrus Ivory Tooth. It is in excellent condition.~See the back.

These are beautiful cream colored vintage elephant ivory screw clasps. Each barrel clasp was hand made and they thread together tightly. They are tapered and nicely polished. These clasps are the perfect closure for your ivory necklaces. We have a nice selection of sizes available.

Vintage small carved dog, looks like a Husky sled dog to me. It has wonderful details and even has a tongue hanging out of the side of its mouth. Probably created by an Alaskan Inuit. There is a hole in the top of its back so you can add a bail. Fabulous old carving, very intricate with nice patina. We have taken lots of pictures so you can see all the nice carvings. These rare beads were made from salvaged Prehistoric Woolly Mammoth Fossils found under the ice in the Arctic Circle. Their age varies anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 years old. These are a medium earthy tan color that is pretty even. They have a visible grain. See a close up.

Beautiful Elephant Ivory Screwback Earrings. They have a lovely carved and pierced intricate oriental design. The ivory has aged to a soft buttery yellowish color. They have pot metal screwbacks that work perfectly and hold tight. See another view, Circa 1900's

This is a gorgeous necklace designed by the world famous jeweler, Patricia Von Musulin. Her pieces are known to be stylish and graceful, and they always have a sculptural quality to them. This necklace is constructed of four strands of round elephant ivory beads with a carved exotic wood center panel. The ivory beads are 8mm and 15mm round beads that are smooth and polished. The necklace is finished with a matching wood clasp that is Von Musulin's signature key design. The carved wood pendant is 2 x 2 1/2 inches.

Beautiful elephant ivory beads with a stunning puzzle ball pendant in the center, and two more puzzle balls dangling below. The puzzle balls are intricately carved beads with concentric pierced balls carved with a geometric pattern. This necklace was imported before the ivory ban. This set features beautiful elephant ivory beads intricately carved into delicate rose flower beads. The beads are graduated from 6mm - 18mm and were expertly hand carved. There are three matching beads on each of the dangling earrings. These beads were imported before the ivory ban and are in wonderful condition.The necklace has a traditional ivory screw clasp.
